To obtain the Points Topos module and facade survey for SketchUP Version  2017-2021

you can request it by mail using the form below

PointListPicking01.jpg

The easiest way to insert a point cloud without external module or paid software :

-CloudCompare
-Subsample Nuage (Lightening to the maximum -Cutting)
-Export in DXF
-SketchUP : DXF import

With the 'Topos Points' module (SketchUP V2018-2021)
It is possible to create key points under Cloud compare with 'Point List Picking' tool numbered from 1 to ....
and export them as list file in the form : index, X, Y, Z
(make screenshots under CC as a sketch with the position of the points)
If the DXF is imported by checking the option 'keep the origin of the drawing'
We can import the key points in SketchUP with the ' Topos Points ' module
they will then be placed in addition on the charged cloud.

Another note:
'Points Topos' integrates a method of correction of Topographic points surveyed on a facade using a Total Station in 'Direct reflex' mode (non-contact topographic survey.)
Simply to designate 3 representative points of the building facade plan
and the surveyed points will be projected on this plane thus correcting the precisionfrom the measured point approximately.

I used SketchUP extensively during my activity
of Surveyor specialized in Auscultations, and precision works.
Today my interest is to popularize the use of point clouds
from scanner readings and used with CloudCompare, (Free project),
I share with you tips for transferring clouds and so
be able to draw in SketchUP from essential points.
I remain at your disposal to exchange these tips.

plus some fun with SketchUP !
